It has been over a decade since Congress last reauthorized the Higher Education Act, which covers the federal government’s major student aid programs, such as Pell Grants and student loans. Much has changed in the nation’s higher education system, making federal student aid programs and the countless rules and regulations they contain overdue for reform.
Please join Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-TN) for keynote remarks on the committee’s agenda for reforming the Higher Education Act. Following his remarks, Chairman Alexander will join AEI’s Jason D. Delisle for a conversation about this new legislation. The event will conclude with a panel discussion featuring higher education experts who will share their insights about the proposal.
