Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has weighed in on the state of Australia’s education system.
The Liberal leader says the national curriculum is being driven by unions and activists – adding Australian parents are “bewildered by what they see their kids come home with”.
Mr Dutton was elected Liberal Party leader after May’s election defeat and is flagging education reform as a key part of his party’s new policy agenda.
His comments follow controversial Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes’ claims the education system is “basically run by Marxists”.
