Inside new $109M government building, Maryland lawmakers discuss education cuts

Maryland lawmakers are looking to make changes to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future – the landmark education reform bill passed in 2021.

On Wednesday, Maryland House and Senate members held a joint session inside the brand-new Department of Legislative Services building, which opened a few weeks ago. The beautiful state-of-the-art building cost taxpayers $109 million. And during the hearing, legislators discussed how Maryland doesn’t have enough money.
