Elementary Education
When it comes to elementary education, it is perhaps the most important part of the system because it provides the foundation that will help children to either prepare for college or further education or it will not. The point is, when younger children are given the opportunities and allowed to dream and realize that they can be anything they want regardless of their economic status, it lays the foundation needed to have more of these youngsters preparing for advanced education.
Moreover, having better trained teachers graduating from college helps to properly prepare elementary students for furthering education, which is the one of the main goals of early childhood education; the better the students are prepared, the further they will go. Let’s face it, students that do not receive a proper elementary education that spurs them on mentally or creates a curiosity, will not want to continue with their education.
In the past, the elementary education that many college students received was not top-notch and therefore, they could not proper pass on their knowledge to their students. Today, the programs are much more rigorous and allow students specialize in specific areas such as special education, math, and sciences, to name a few. Most students that are studying to become elementary teachers now understand they are going to set the stage and lay the groundwork for their students to continue on to secondary education.
The more the child knows and the more he or she is exposed to while in school, the greater his or her mental curiosity is intrigued and the more likely they are to continue their education right into college. In addition, more testing is required in United States elementary schools; these standardized tests allow educators to see where children are at in their academic knowledge and how they can be helped in areas where they are struggling.
When many legislatures began to realize is that those children that are in elementary education today will be the nation’s future. Meaning if these children are given the proper foundation, they will have the motivation to go into law, medicine, and education in order to further the country when these children finish college and enter the workforce. After all, the people in law, medicine, and teaching will have to eventually retire, which means there needs to be highly trained people to take their place.
When it comes to elementary education, it is one of the most important aspects of education because it sets the foundation for future education. If the education of the youth is done properly, there will plenty of these children entering college and graduating with degrees in many different fields, which will further the economy in the United States and abroad.
